EstimateHome.be — A service by CaaS BV.

1. Data controller

CaaS BV, [Straat nr, postcode gemeente]. Contact: info@estimatehome.be.

2. What data we collect

  • The address and characteristics of your property (type, size, condition, EPC, year built) and your plans to sell.
  • Free basic report: your first name and email address.
  • Detailed report: first name, last name, email address, billing details (optionally company name and VAT number) and payment status. We never see your card or bank details.
  • Only if you ask to be contacted by an agent: your name, email address, optionally phone number, your consent (exact text and time), your language, the chosen report and campaign source (utm parameters).

3. Purposes and legal basis

Sending your report: we only use your email address to send your basic or detailed report (performance of your request). We do not send newsletters or advertising.

Passing on to an agent: only with your explicit consent do we pass your details to a partner licensed estate agent in your area, who may contact you. The stored consent text reads: “I'd like a partner licensed estate agent in my area to contact me” or, after the result: “I agree that my name, contact and property details are passed on to a partner licensed estate agent in my area, who may contact me for an on-site valuation.” Without consent, nothing is passed on.

Invoicing: for a detailed report, we process your details to handle the payment and issue an invoice (performance of the contract and statutory accounting obligation).

4. Recipients

  • Only with your consent: a partner licensed estate agent in your area.
  • Valuation partner Taxon (address and property details, without your name or contact details).
  • Payment provider Mollie (detailed report only).
  • The email service used to send your report. [Complete the list of processors.]

5. Retention

  • Free basic report: we keep your first name, email address, property details and estimate for 24 months, so you can view your report again through your personal link. We do not use your email address for advertising.
  • Orders and invoices: 7 years (accounting obligation).
  • Unpaid orders: 30 days.
  • Valuation results per address (without name): 30 days.
  • Log of valuations performed (property data only, no name or email): 24 months, for statistics and service improvement.
  • Anonymous visit statistics (page, language, referring website, device type; no cookies or IP address): 13 months.
  • Temporary form data when switching language: at most 15 minutes.
  • Security data (hashed, no readable IP address): 1 day.
  • Requests passed on to the agent: [period to be completed].

6. Advertising and campaign measurement (only with consent)

If you accept advertising cookies, we use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure which adverts lead to a valuation, a request for agent contact or a paid report, and to tune our adverts accordingly.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent we load no advertising scripts, set no advertising cookies and send nothing to Meta or Google. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; withdrawal applies immediately to new measurements.

Data involved: the event type (e.g. valuation completed), a random event ID, the page, your IP address and browser details, the advertising cookies (_fbp/_fbc) and — only to Meta via the Conversions API — your email address as an irreversible SHA-256 hash. Never your address, name or phone number.

Campaign source (utm parameters, click IDs gclid/fbclid and the first page visited) is stored with your valuation or order, for the same retention period as that record, so we can see which campaigns work.

Retention: advertising cookies at most 90 days; Meta and Google keep measurement data under their own policies. Temporary measurement data attached to an order is deleted as soon as payment is confirmed.

Transfers outside the EU: Meta and Google may process data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@estimatehome.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
